Our resources include expertise in traditional techniques for building and restoring simple rectangle and diamond lites through the design, fabrication and installation of original creations, as well as removal, repairs and installation.

Founding and building Solstice Stained Glass from the ground up, owner Emily Carlson was trained in the traditional methods of the technologies of stained glass as an apprentice then managed a small restoration studio in Chicago’s norther suburbs. After nine years, she launched Solstice Stained Glass in 2008. A recent move has relocated Solstice to Chicago’s South Side industrial corridor. Gathering a staff of European and locally trained stained glass professionals who have worked on countless leaded and stained glass windows, our resources include expertise in traditional techniques for building and restoring simple rectangle and diamond lites through the design, fabrication and installation of original creations, as well as removal, repairs and installation. Our new location provides increased opportunity for execution of laminated and fused glass art installations. Passionate about creating and restoring authentic beauty in the built environment, Solstice prides itself on the care and dedication to quality that we bring to each project.
